The best players at each position this past season were announced, with some notable names cementing their spot on the list following strong campaigns.
Nathan MacKinnon, Nikita Kucherov, Kyle Connor, Cale Makar, Zach Werenski and Connor Hellebuyck were named to the NHL’s first All-Star Team after the league wrapped up its year-end award show on Thursday night.
A few players on the team are regulars, with Hart Trophy-winner Hellebuyck earning his third nod, Ted Lindsay-winner Kucherov earning his fourth and Norris-winner Makar earning his third first-team selection. Both Connor of the Jets and Werenski of the Blue Jackets are debutants on the team.
Making up the second team are Leon Draisaitl, Brandon Hagel, David Pastrnak, Victor Hedman, Quinn Hughes and Andrei Vasilevskiy.
The league also announced its All-Rookie Team, highlighting the best first-year players from around the NHL.
Making up the team are 2024 first-overall pick Macklin Celebrini, Cutter Gauthier, Matvei Michkov, Calder Trophy winner Lane Hutson, Denton Mateychuk and goaltender Dustin Wolf.
