Ernie Clement is batting 11 for 38 with a home run and an RBI over his past 10 games, but he is listed as day-to-day with a lower-body injury.
Clement appeared to hurt his leg while attempting a diving catch during the eighth inning of Wednesday’s series finale against the Cardinals. Clement finished the inning but did not return for the ninth.
Philadelphia will counter with left-handed pitcher Ranger Suarez on the mound. Suarez (4-1, 2.70 ERA) sustained his first loss of the season last Saturday against the Pittsburgh Pirates after giving up two runs on five hits with one walk and five strikeouts.
