The 2024-25 season was a nightmare for the Washington Wizards, and they are ready to move on from it.
That means trades could be coming soon.
Writing on X, Evan Sidery said that the Wizards are looking to shop Corey Kispert during trade talks this summer.
“After signing a four-year, $54 million extension, which includes a team option in 2028-29, Kispert would recoup value from a contender,” Sidery wrote.

Kispert put up an average of 11.6 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.7 assists during his 61 games in 2024-25.
Back in March, he injured his thumb and had to get surgery.
Following that, he didn’t play for the remainder of the season.
He has spent four seasons in the NBA and has been with the Wizards since the very beginning.
The team has struggled a lot during that time, but it hasn’t been his fault.
In fact, Kispert has been seen as a potential trade asset, someone who could fetch the Wizards several other players or draft picks.
As noted by Sidery, Washington is in a rebuilding phase right now.
After years of suffering at the bottom of the Eastern Conference, they are intent on actually making changes and attempting to bounce back.
That may require the loss of Kispert, but he could be one of many people leaving the Wizards.
Kispert could serve an important role on a number of competitive teams, but we don’t know where he will land.
He is someone who NBA fans should keep an eye on in the weeks ahead.
After playing for one of the worst teams in the league, Kispert could be moving up.
