Hours after attending Canadian GP’s qualifying with his fiancee Caitlin, Nick Suzuki enjoys boatload of sushi at popular Japanese restaurant

On Saturday, Habs captain Nick Suzuki attended the qualifying rounds at the ongoing Canadian Grand Prix weekend with his fiancee Caitlin Fitzgerald. He shared a couple of stories on his Instagram, featuring their race day experience.

Suzuki’s first story showed a clear view of the pit lane at the F1 Circuit in Montreal with fans in the stands. Caitlin also posted a story on her own account featuring two drinks placed on a white table, with race cars and the grandstand in the background. She added a heart and checkered flag emoji in the caption.

The Habs captain later dined at Park Restaurant in Westmount, Montreal. He posted a click featuring a long wooden board filled with an assortment of sushi inside the dimly lit Japanese restaurant on his stories. The upscale Japanese fusion spot is known for its sushi and omakase tasting menus and is run by chef Antonio Park.

The main event on Saturday at Montreal’s Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve was the F1 qualifying session where George Russell secured pole position with a time of 1:10.899, narrowly edging out Max Verstappen. Oscar Piastri qualified third, while Lewis Hamilton finished fifth. Earlier in the day, Lando Norris topped the timesheets in Free Practice 3.

Nick Suzuki’s fiancee opens up on one thing Habs captain is not good at

Earlier this year in February, Nick Suzuki’s fiancee Caitlin made an appearance on the “Never Offside with Julie & Cat” podcast. During the episode, she shared that Nick is very skilled at almost every board game they play, which makes her avoid playing games like Scrabble with him.

“He is, it’s really annoying. So I don’t like to play games with him,” she said.“No matter what it is, he always wins and it’s so annoying. Like I won’t play Scrabble with him. I don’t, I don’t like playing games with him at all.”

Caitlin also mentioned that cooking is one thing Nick is not very good at.

“Okay, there we go. He sucks at cooking. He can cook, not that well. If I was like, ‘Nick make dinner’, he’d make dinner. But I prefer to eat what I make,” she explained.

She also recalled a time when they played the “Squid Games” challenge, and Nick was the only one who won. She joked that he would have been the last one standing if it were real.
