The Indiana Pacers were in control for much of Game 4 against the Oklahoma City Thunder, but then Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and his team rallied back and stole a huge victory out from under them.
If Tyrese Haliburton had paid attention to recent history, he would have looked at the scoreboard in the final minute and known he was in trouble.
According to Evan Sidery, 110 points is the “magic number” in the playoffs for the Pacers.
During the postseason, when they have scored 110+, they are 14-0.
And when they have scored less than 110, they are 0-6.
The Pacers put up 104 points on Friday night, so it’s no surprise that they lost.

The Pacers were using their speed and power very well for most of the game, and they were on their way to a victory, but they left a path open for the Thunder, and they took full advantage of it.
Thanks to the heroics of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in the fourth quarter, OKC overtook the Pacers and never looked back.
Moving forward, the Pacers have to play at an even higher level of skill.
They will be back in Oklahoma City, and the Thunder home crowd will be very supportive and ready to make life hard for Indiana.
Getting to that 110 mark is going to be very difficult, so can the Pacers do it?
