Tyrese Haliburton makes his feelings clear on Game 5 and focuses outlook on Game 6

Tyrese Haliburton suffered a leg injury on Monday in the second quarter of Game 5 against the OKC Thunder. The Indiana Pacers star tried to drive past Thunder forward Chet Holmgren before crashing to the floor. Haliburton left the floor and went to the locker room before returning to finish the game.

The Pacers’ franchise player suited up but ended the night with four points, all coming from the free-throw line. He went 0-for-6, including 0-for-4 from behind the arc. The Pacers head into Game 6 uncertain about their star point guard’s status.

Tyrese Haliburton opened up about playing through pain in the postgame interview.

“I mean it’s the NBA Finals. It’s the finals — I’ve worked my whole like to be here.

“It was not really a thought of mine to not play here. If I can walk, then I want to play.”
