The Ball family has been a part of the NBA media for the better part of a decade.
LaVar, their boisterous father, has never been shy about his sons’ accolades and achievements, doing whatever he can to highlight them.
Their shoe line and clothing brand were both ways to capitalize on their hype, but neither has worked out as well as they might have hoped.
Lonzo has also been something of a bust in the NBA, as he started his career strong, but hasn’t been the same since his injury.
LaMelo has proven to be worth his salt, being among the lone bright spots on the Charlotte Hornets’ roster.
While he’s now more known for his playing ability than anything else, LaMelo does still have some off-court antics that can receive some press.
For instance, as Overtime shared and was reposted by NBA Central on X, Ball recently got a lot of tattoos at the same time, managing to cover almost all of his body with ink.

A few of his tattoos said “Chosen One” and “God’s Soldier,” indicating that these are very important aspects of his life that he wanted highlighted.
Fans don’t necessarily know the context or reason for all of his tattoos, but if this serves as extra motivation to succeed in the coming seasons, the Hornets faithful won’t care.
This team has, unfortunately, been among the worst in the league for a few years, with very little light at the end of the tunnel.
If LaMelo is more motivated with his new tattoos, there’s no telling how much his team will be able to improve next season, hoping to get back on track.
