Commitment Predictions: Texas, LSU, South Carolina
Rivals analyst Sam Spiegelman has predictions on Texas picking up a four-star defensive tackle, LSU adding to its impressive offensive line haul and a big quarterback commit in the SEC.
Vodney Cleveland to Texas
The Longhorns are blue-chip hunting in the Southeast and are trending up for a massive defensive lineman out of Alabama. I’ve logged a FutureCast for four-star defensive tackle Vodney Cleveland to pick the Longhorns.
The one-time Alabama verbal made his second visit to the Forty Acres this past weekend for an official visit and will come off the board June 21. It’s down to Florida and Texas, and the Longhorns have steam with the interior defensive lineman after knocking it out of the park during Cleveland’s official visit.
Bryson Cooley to LSU
LSU is loading up along the offensive line and has traction with another target out of Mississippi. Brad Davis and the Tigers flipped four-star offensive tackle Emanuel Tucker from Mississippi State earlier this month and I’ve logged a prediction for LSU to land another blue-chipper from the state.
My FutureCast is on the Tigers with four-star offensive tackle Bryson Cooley, who officially visited over the weekend. Davis and the Tigers are in line to sign a stellar group up front in 2026.
Landon Duckworth to South Carolina
Elite 2026 quarterback Landon Duckworth is down to Auburn and South Carolina after official visits to both SEC finalists to open the month. The Tigers have closed the gap significantly , but my prediction is firmly on the Gamecocks with the one-time verbal commit out of Alabama.
Shane Beamer and first-year offensive coordinator Mike Shula have caught Duckworth’s attention in a big way and I’ve moved my FutureCast from Ole Miss to South Carolina.
