The New York Jets keep shaking things up.
They added another crucial weapon for head coach Aaron Glenn in his first season.
As reported by MLFootball on X, the Jets reached a deal with kicker Harrison Mevis, a UFL star who worked out with them recently.

This will be Mevis’ second chance in the NFL, although he didn’t get to take the field in his previous tenure.
He was signed and waived by the Carolina Panthers last season, but multiple NFL teams kept tabs on him after watching him excel with the Birmingham Stallions.
Mevis made a name for himself in the spring league, making 20 of 21 field goal attempts, including a 56-yarder.
His only miss came from 63 yards.
He also averaged 64.9 yards per kickoff attempt.
Mevis, known as the “Thiccer Kicker” because of his build, often draws attention on social media for his unorthodox dimensions for a player at his position.
To make room for him on the roster, the Jets made the somewhat surprising decision to release kicker Anders Carlson.
The NFL veteran was 8-for-10 on field goal attempts in five games for the Jets last season.
As things stand, the Jets have Mevis and undrafted free agent Caden Davis as their kickers on the roster.
They’re looking to replace veteran Greg Zuerlein, who was released this offseason.
Trying to end a lengthy playoff drought, the Jets will leave no stone unturned to finally get over the hump.
