Stat Reveals Worrisome NBA Finals Trend For Chet Holmgren

The Oklahoma City Thunder will attempt to win the NBA Finals on Sunday evening, and it’ll require everyone on the roster putting in and trying their hardest.

A new stat about big man Chet Holmgren is raising some eyebrows and causing concern.

According to StatMuse, Holmgren has hit only 11.8 percent of his shots from beyond the three-point line during the Finals.

That’s a wildly disappointing number from such a great young player.

During the regular season, Holmgren was 37.9 percent from three, so his collapse to just 11 percent is massive and jaw-dropping.

He has shot from beyond the arc 17 times during the Finals and has only landed two of those attempts.

Even if Holmgren does much better in Game 7 on Sunday, people will still be disappointed in his output.

He has been strong and reliable in many other ways for his Thunder, but his three-point shooting has left a lot to be desired.

His field goal percentage has dropped during this championship run, but his defense has remained strong.

And it’s clear that no matter what happens, the Thunder would love to keep Holmgren on board next season.

If OKC doesn’t win the title this year, they will probably make some adjustments during the summer.

Will they try to land an A-list star, or will they make smaller tweaks to the lineup?

Holmgren will likely be back, so he will show that this tough stretch of three-point shooting was just a fluke and not the way he will be moving forward.
