Denny Hamlin wins pole for Great American Getaway 400

LONG POND, Pennsylvania — Denny Hamlin picked up exactly where he left off.

After missing the NASCAR Cup Series race in Mexico City on June 15, Hamlin, who won at Michigan on June 8, rocketed to his first pole of 2025 and the 44th of his career.

Chris Buescher, Carson Hocevar, John Hunter Nemechek and Cole Custer rounded out the top five, with Chase Briscoe, Ty Gibbs, Tyler Reddick, Christopher Bell and Daniel Suarez completing the top-10.

After zero Joe Gibbs Racing cars were in the top 10 in practice, all four JGR drivers qualified inside the top 10.

Other notable qualifiers included defending Cup Series champion Joey Logano in 12th, Chase Elliott in 18th, Ryan Blaney in 20th, Kyle Larson in 24th and Kyle Busch in 26th.

William Byron crashed on his qualifying lap, while an issue with the starter prevented Bubba Wallace from making a qualifying lap. Josh Berry and Cody Ware did not make a qualifying lap after sustaining damage in practice, while a penalty stemming from inspection did not allow Brennan Poole to make a qualifying lap.

The Great American Getaway 400 will go green shortly after 2 p.m. ET on Sunday, with coverage on Prime Video, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. Pre-race coverage will start at 1 p.m. ET on Prime Video and MRN.
