Kevin Durant Reveals Reason Why He Went To Rockets

Kevin Durant is now a member of the Houston Rockets, and he is ready to help the team do even better in 2025-26.

The news of his trade broke while he was at Fanatics Fest, and Durant was very open about everything.

Speaking to Fanatics, he talked about what attracted him to the Rockets.

“[The Rockets] had a great season last year. Love their leadership. I felt like I’d be a good addition,” Durant said.

Durant already has a working relationship with head coach Ime Udoka, which was surely one of the most attractive features of the team.

But there was more to it than that, because the Rockets are one of the most exciting teams in the league.

They had a great regular season and have one of the most energetic young rosters in the NBA.

But they fell short in the playoffs, and it’s clear that they still need more.

Will Durant provide them with it?

The Rockets did really well with this deal and didn’t have to give up too much to get him, which is a good sign.

However, there is no guarantee that acquiring Durant will immediately make the Rockets frontrunners for a championship.

They will still have their fair share of problems, especially as the Western Conference gets stronger.

There is no doubt that Durant’s move to Houston helps the Rockets, and he sounds excited to be there.

There are questions, there are concerns, and there will be challenges, but the Rockets are in a much better position now.
