The market for Canadian striker Jonathan David continues to heat up.

Serie A club Juventus is expected to meet with David’s representatives, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Juventus general director Damien Comolli returned from the FIFA Club World Cup to Turin to work on a new proposal for David. Both sides have met before to discuss a deal, but Juventus is looking to see if David is willing to take a discount on the 10 million euro signing bonus that he is looking for.

David confirmed his departure from France’s Lille at the end of the Ligue 1 season. During his time there, he scored 109 goals throughout 232 appearances in all competitions across a five-year spell. 

The Ottawa native is Canada’s leading men’s goal scorer with 34 goals in 65 international appearances.

Juventus has serious competition for the 25-year-old with Serie A champion Napoli and Turkish club Fenerbahce also pushing to sign the Canadian striker.

Juventus is in the market for a striker with Dusan Vlahovic set to leave as a free transfer at the end of his contract in June 2026.

David has been on Juventus sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli’s radar since 2023.
