The NBA Draft is just around the corner, and this is one of the most promising crops of players we’ve seen in years.
As such, it’s not much of a surprise to hear that multiple teams are trying to climb their way up the ladder.
According to a report by Kevin O’Connor of The Ringer (via Evan Sidery), the Atlanta Hawks are being quite aggressive in trade talks.
The Hawks are trying to trade up from No. 13 overall into the top five, per @KevinOConnorNBA (https://t.co/Wxa1lPqDcD).

They want to move up from No. 13 all the way to the top five.
The Hawks have some interesting pieces to move, but it will be interesting to see what they’re willing to give up to make their way to the top five.
With the myriad of major injuries in the Eastern Conference, they might be primed for a bounce-back season, so they could be wary about parting ways with players who can help them win right now.
Then again, they do have a promising youngster like Zaccharie Risacher, so perhaps they will want to add someone else on his timeline.
Trae Young has been tied to trade rumors for the past two or three years, but to no avail.
And now that the team has moved on from Dejounte Murray, it seems highly unlikely that they will trade their young star point guard.
The Hawks have been on the outside looking in for years now, and they’ve failed to make a deep postseason run after reaching the Eastern Conference Finals in 2021.
This draft will give them a perfect opportunity to get back to their winning ways.
