Analyst Believes Young QB Could Breakout This Season

The Carolina Panthers gave up a lot to get their hands on Bryce Young.

That’s why they were under heavy fire when they made the somewhat shocking decision to bench him so early in his career.

Then again, he didn’t look anything close to the player he was in college.

Fortunately for them, he looked the part after that brief stint on the bench, and with an offensive-minded head coach in Dave Canales, there are legitimate reasons to feel excited about him going forward.

At least, that’s how PFF feels.

In their latest podcast, they predicted that Young was a prime candidate for a breakout season in 2025.

Young will have a myriad of young offensive weapons, and he will enter his second season under Canales’s offensive system.

His head coach has a reputation for being a bit of a quarterback whisperer, helping Geno Smith and Baker Mayfield turn their careers around after some early woes.

Of course, Young won’t get taller, and his physical limitations will always be a concern and a part of the equation with him.

Then again, his poise in the pocket and accuracy are there; it’s just a matter of confidence.

Young looked like one of the biggest busts in NFL history, but some players just need more time to figure things out and be at their best.

The Panthers gave up too much to get him, and they owe it to the franchise to give him as many chances to succeed as they possibly can.
