Saad, 32, signed a one-year, $1.5-million deal with the Golden Knights in January after the St. Louis Blues placed him on unconditional waivers for the purpose of mutual contract termination.
The winger had six goals and eight assists in 29 games with the Golden Knights last season after recording seven goals and nine assists in 43 games with the Blues.
Saad has 266 goals and 263 assists in 935 career games with the Golden Knights, Blues, Colorado Avalanche, Columbus Blue Jackets and Chicago Blackhawks.
The Blackhawks picked the Pittsburgh native 43rd overall in the 2011 NHL Draft.
