Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark will miss her second game in as many days as she continues to recover from a left groin injury.
Clark was ruled out for the Fever’s game Friday at the Dallas Wings, nixing what would have been the first WNBA matchup between her and Paige Bueckers.
Fever coach Stephanie White said last week that Clark’s latest injury was “very much a day-to-day thing.”
Clark, 23, sat out five games due to a left quad injury before returning to action against the New York Liberty on June 14. She scored 32 points in her return, but she has shot a combined 1-for-23 from 3-point range in her past three games.
The second-year guard is averaging 18.2 points, 8.9 assists and 5.0 rebounds in nine games (all starts) this season for Indiana. Clark is shooting 39.0 percent from the field and 29.5 percent from 3-point range for the Fever, who fell below .500 in an 85-75 home loss to the Los Angeles Sparks on Thursday.
Clark won Rookie of the Year honors and made the All-Star and All-WNBA teams in 2024-25 following a record-setting career at Iowa.
