“Ash, your jersey was #21, but to us, you were one of one. On and off the field, you gave everything,” the team said in a statement.
“We’ll miss your smile, your warmth, and the quiet strength you brought into every room and every game. We are very proud of you.”
According to a report by Tiebreaker Times, Abong collapsed during a team practice on Friday on school grounds.
The school’s medical personnel were quick to come to Abong’s aid and rush her to the nearest hospital.
