The team announced Saturday that they signed backup Joel Hofer to a two-year, $6.8 million contract extension with an average annual value of $3.4 million.
“Joel Hofer won’t be subject to offer sheets after signing a two-year extension worth $6.8 million,” the Blues wrote on X to announce the signing, seemingly referencing last year’s high-profile offer sheets from the Blues to Edmonton Oilers forward Dylan Holloway and defenceman Philip Broberg — both of whom were instrumental in St. Louis’s run to the post-season.
Hofer, 24, played 31 games in 2024-25 and posted a 16-8 record with a .904 save percentage and 2.64 goals-against average. He also recorded one shutout.
The Winnipeg native was selected 107th overall by the Blues at the 2018 Draft.
