Takeaways from WWE Night of Champions: Cena does it again

Despite several concerns regarding the safety of the performers, WWE held its annual Night of Champions premium live event, live from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Saturday afternoon.

From title changes to a shocking debut, the event was a wild ride from start to finish, and we’re here to recap it all.

Here are five takeaways from Saturday’s event.

Randy Orton’s final heel turn is coming

Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes kicked off the show with a match that crowned this year’s King of the Ring winner. It was a back-and-forth battle that ultimately led to Rhodes knocking off Orton.

It was because of an exposed turnbuckle, done by Orton, that allowed Rhodes to get Orton in position for his finishing maneuver.

Orton showed several signs during the match that he is leaning back toward the dark side that we’ve seen from him for years upon years.

Saturday could be a sign that Orton may need to go back to the dark place we’ve seen before to help himself capture one last WWE Championship.
