Insider Shuts Down Rumors About Giants, Odell Beckham Jr.

Odell Beckham Jr. was once one of the most popular and coveted players in the NFL.

That’s not the case anymore.

Injuries derailed his potential Hall of Fame career, and there hasn’t been much interest in his services lately.

That’s why, as much as the fans may love to see it, it seems like a reunion with the New York Giants isn’t in the cards.

According to ESPN insider Jordan Raanan, outside of perhaps a retirement gesture, he doesn’t see Beckham back in the Big Apple.

“Odell Beckham Jr. made comments at Fanatics Fest about coming back to the Giants. I’ve talked to people, there’s nothing brewing. It’s unlikely to happen. I would not expect Odell Beckham Jr. to be a Giant again. Maybe something along the line where he signs a one-day contract and retires as a Giant. Some players do that, that could happen. I don’t see, based on talking to people, that Odell Beckham Jr. coming back to the Giants is realistic and makes a ton of sense,” Raanan said, via Doug Rush.

Beckham teased fans during his recent appearance when one asked if he would give up his Super Bowl ring with the Los Angeles Rams to have a chance to win one in New York.

He admitted that he never wanted to leave the Giants.

That might be the case, but he could just be trying to talk his way back into the league.

It’s a shame to see that his career has come to this, as he had the potential to be one of the greatest wide receivers in NFL history, and it’s not his fault that he suffered multiple injuries.
