Details Emerge About Where Steelers Will Play Jalen Ramsey

The Pittsburgh Steelers paid a steep price to get their hands on Jalen Ramsey.

That’s why they intend to get their money’s worth with the star defensive back.

The Steelers reportedly intend to deploy Ramsey all over the secondary.

“They see Jalen Ramsey as an outside corner, slot corner, and he can take some snaps at safety,” Mark Kaboly said, via Dov Kleiman.

Cornerbacks sometimes take snaps at safety when they get older, and some even make a full-time transition to extend their career.

Of course, that’s not to say that Ramsey is on his way out of the league or in decline.

He’s still one of the few shutdown defensive backs in the game, and he may have plenty left in the tank at cornerback.

But if the Steelers have enough depth to move him around and make the most of his skills, they would be wise to do so.

Also, it’s worth noting that the Steelers had to give up safety Minkah Fitzpatrick in the trade with the Miami Dolphins.

Pittsburgh seems to be going all-in with its offseason moves.

Even if Aaron Rodgers and Ramsey aren’t getting any younger, they aren’t the type of players a team goes after unless it believes it can make a Super Bowl run.

The same goes for a big-money wide receiver like D.K. Metcalf.

Whether they’ll be able to live up to those aspirations remains to be seen.
