Every year, the NFL Draft draws considerable interest as it shapes the future of the league’s 32 franchises.
NFL Network analyst Chad Reuter recently put a twist on the process with a seven-round mock draft of players already in the league.
So, if every team in the NFL were starting over and trying to build for just this season, who would be the No. 1 overall pick?
Reuter named quarterback Josh Allen as the top choice among every NFL player.
Where would the NFL’s top stars land if all active players were up for grabs in a draft? @chad_reuter imagines a seven-round mock in which all 32 teams look to assemble a win-now core of talent entering the 2025 seasonhttps://t.co/GUj56PhbjC

Allen was followed by fellow quarterbacks Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow and Justin Herbert in the top five.
In fact, the first 13 picks were quarterbacks, before edge rusher Myles Garrett at No. 14.
Allen has been a great regular-season quarterback, and Reuter is higher on him than any other player.
The Buffalo Bills are grateful he’s on their team and not on the Tennessee Titans, as this mock draft suggests, but the exercise is a great reminder to fans how important the quarterback position is.
Every team is seeking a franchise QB, and they aren’t easy to find.
This is why so many teams end up reaching for a quarterback in the first round of the real draft.
