Shaquill Griffin Sends Heartfelt Message To Seahawks Fans

NFL fans have their favorite players, ones they’d like to see on their team for their entire career, and many get linked to an organization and a city.

Unfortunately, whether it be for contract issues, poor performance or some other reason, things don’t always work out as planned.

For example, Shaquill Griffin was a beloved member of the Seattle Seahawks, who selected the defensive back in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

Despite being a fan favorite, Griffin left the Seahawks and bounced around the league from 2021 to 2024, playing for four different teams.

Seahawks fans longed for him to come back to the organization, and as the team recently highlighted on X, their wish has come true.

Griffin is back on the Seahawks for at least one more season, hoping to bring his same levels of energy and passion to his loyal fans.

“What’s up, 12s? It’s your boy, Shaq Griffin, back in the building. Super excited. I missed you guys so much. Can’t say it enough, man. I can’t wait to get back to it, get a chance to yell with you guys once more, man. Go, 12s, man. We in the building again,” Griffin said.

There are some questions about how good the Seahawks will be this season, but with a veteran like Griffin back in the fold, they’ll have some leadership in the locker room at the very least.

Seattle historically has a strong defense, and with a year of a new scheme and system in place, the unit is bound to get better and more cohesive.

It will be interesting to see how new quarterback Sam Darnold fares in the offensive system, and if he’ll be able to set up Griffin and his teammates on defense for success.
