Details Emerge About Josh Giddey’s Contract Demands

Josh Giddey made an impression on the Chicago Bulls during his first season with them, but was it enough?

Will the team now offer him a big extension, or will they present him with a deal he can say no to?

According to Joe Cowley, per Evan Sidery, Giddey is seeking a $30+ million annual extension with the Bulls.

He apparently wants to match or exceed the figure that Jalen Suggs received from the Orlando Magic, which came in at $30.1 million.

2024-25 was Giddey’s first year with Chicago, and he posted 14.6 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 7.2 assists on 46.5 percent from the field.

He instantly looked at home, comfortable and ready to lead.

He had some huge moments in his season with the Bulls and would like to remain with the team.

But he feels he is worth a lot and isn’t willing to take a smaller deal.

The Bulls have been trying to figure out who they are for a few seasons, and they have lacked a strong identity.

Could Giddey be part of the culture and chemistry they build in the years ahead?

If they envision Giddey as a crucial part of the team, they will be willing to put up the cash to keep him.

But if they are strapped for cash and can’t afford it, they will have to let him walk.

The Bulls have multiple things and players to consider right now, but this Giddey situation may be most important.

He looks like someone who could do a lot for the Bulls for years, so will Chicago offer him a big-time deal?
