For years, the Kansas City Chiefs have had a chokehold on the AFC West Division.
Andy Reid’s team has dominated the division almost at will, with no legitimate competitor.
Even so, that doesn’t mean that it’s been an easy ride for Patrick Mahomes.
If anything, he knows that he has to deal with Maxx Crosby twice a year.
Talking to Kay Adams on her “Up & Adams” show, the three-time Super Bowl champion tipped his hat to Crosby, going as far as to say that he’s the best pass-rusher he’s ever played against (via Raiders 1022):
“I think [Maxx Crosby’s] sacked me the most out of anyone I’ve ever played against,” Mahomes said. “To me, he’s the best pass rusher that I’ve played against. He gives you the effort, he has the moves and he has the skill. I think it’s hard to have all three of those and do it year in and year out.”

“When we step on that football field we know we’re 2 of the greatest in the league going at each other every snap”

Notably, that’s a lot to say, considering that he plays in the same league as the likes of Myles Garrett, Trey Hendrickson, Nick Bosa, and T.J. Watt.
Even so, the Las Vegas Raiders star is a force to be reckoned with, and he’s also gushed about Mahomes and how much he loves to compete against him multiple times in the past.
Crosby was tangled up in multiple trade rumors last season because of his team’s struggles, but he’s always doubled down on his commitment to the organization and the fan base.
Now, with Pete Carroll taking the reins of the team and an improved roster, the Raiders might still not be ready for playoff contention, but they will certainly pose a bigger threat to the Chiefs’ divisional aspirations.
The Raiders have taken pride in banging Mahomes up in recent years, and things won’t get much easier this season when Crosby takes the field again.
