For those that thought Miami Heat executive and NBA legend Pat Riley might have lost his fastball – maybe hold that though for another year. After a season embroiled in the Jimmy Butler saga and a quiet start to the offseason, Riley has already made one of the acquisitions of the summer. As part of a three-team deal, the Heat sent away role players Kevin Love and Kyle Anderson along a second-round pick to get a player in Powell who averaged 21.8 points-per-game in 2024-25 and has championship pedigree.
