Oasis officially kicked off the UK leg of their Oasis Live ’25 world tour over the weekend, performing two sold-out nights at Cardiff’s 74,500-cap Principality Stadium on Friday and Saturday (July 4-5).
The next stop on the Oasis Live ’25 tour is their hometown of Manchester, where Oasis are scheduled to play five sold-out dates to 80,000 people each night in the city’s Heaton Park on July 11, 12, 16, 19, and 20.
Following the band’s first concerts since 2009, they saw a 320% surge in streams of their music globally on Spotify, the platform confirmed this week.
Spotify has also confirmed a list of songs from Oasis’ live setlist that saw some of the biggest increases in streams globally on the platform.
The track with the largest increase was Hello, streams of which soared 1,115% globally on Spotify following the first weekend of the Oasis Live ’25 Tour.
Global streams of Bring It On Down and Fade Away – Remastered each surged 1,000% respectively, while streams of Acquiesce – Remastered soared 760% globally.
Streams of Cigarettes & Alcohol were up 490% globally after the weekend, while Morning Glory and Some Might Say were up 485% and 480% respectively.
The iconic 1990s Britpop band is also experiencing a resurgence in popularity on Spotify with Gen Z listeners, which accounted for more than 50% of Oasis’ 16.6 million new listeners on the platform this year.
According to Chartmetric data, Oasis attained 5,882 new Spotify followers on July 1, 2025 (four days prior to the first reunion show), marking a 154% increase from their regular growth on the platform.
UK music licensing company PPL has also published a set of impressive stats about Oasis’ music today (July 9).
According to PPL data, Oasis tracks have generated over seven years of cumulative airplay (on radio and TV) in the band’s home market since 2000, averaging roughly 120 daily plays across the UK.
PPL says it also reviewed the impact of Oasis’ announcements to the band’s presence on radio and TV. The firm said Oasis’ announcement of a 30th anniversary edition of Definitely Maybe in May 2024 and its August 2024 announcement of a reunion tour both “had a swift effect” on the band’s airplay.
The org also revealed that Don’t Look Back In Anger is Oasis’s most played track on UK radio and TV in the 21st century. It is closely followed by Wonderwall
Both tracks are from the band’s second studio album, (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?, released in October 1995.
Don’t Look Back In Anger was written by Oasis’ lead guitarist and chief songwriter Noel Gallagher, and was produced by him and Owen Morris.
On Spotify, Wonderwall has generated nearly 2.4 billion streams to date, while Don’t Look Back In Anger’s streams only accounted for less than half of the other hit song at 1.1 billion streams. Oasis have over 25.3 million monthly listeners on the platform.
The Top 10 Most Played Oasis Recordings of the 21st Century in the UK, according to PPL, are:
- Don’t Look Back In Anger
- Wonderwall
- She’s Electric
- Roll With It
- Little By Little
- The Importance Of Being Idle
- Whatever
- Some Might Say
- Live Forever
- Champagne Supernova
