After playing for a decade in Minnesota, Matt Dumba is joining his fourth team in the past two years.
Dumba is entering the final season of a two-year deal worth $7.5 million that he signed with Dallas.
The 30-year-old had one goal and nine assists in 63 regular-season games last year, but did not play in the playoffs.
The six-foot-one Dumba, a Regina native, has 84 goals and 174 assists for 258 points in 737 career games with the Minnesota Wild, Arizona Coyotes, Tampa Bay Lightning and Stars.
The Wild picked Dumba seventh overall in the 2012 NHL Draft.
Kolyachonok, 24, was claimed on waivers in February by Pittsburgh from Utah. He combined for two goals and five assists in 35 games.
The Belarus native has four goals and 14 assists in 74 career games for the two NHL organizations.
He has one year left on his contract at $775,000, providing cap relief for Dallas compared to Dumba’s $3.75 million ticket.
