Jalen Green is no longer a member of the Houston Rockets and is looking to start a new chapter in his career with the Phoenix Suns.
Weeks after his move from Houston to Phoenix, Green finally spoke about the trade that changed his life.
Speaking with the Houston Chronicle, via NBACentral, Green got very honest about the move and revealed that he saw it coming.
“Yeah, I had a feeling. They’ve been trying to trade me since last year. I’m not tripping. It’s for the better of the team. I know it’s a business at the end of the day. I really can’t handle how I feel. Whatever happens, happens. At the end of the day, I still got the opportunity to play basketball,” Green said.

Like Green, most NBA fans weren’t shocked when they witnessed him leave Houston.
He just finished his fourth year in the league and hasn’t become the sort of star that some people expected him to be.
In 2024-25, Green averaged 21.0 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 3.4 assists.
Although those are impressive numbers, Green didn’t seem like a great fit for the Rockets anymore, and also didn’t perform well in the playoffs.
It seemed like it was only a matter of time before he left the Rockets.
There was speculation about the Suns moving him again after the Houston deal, but he is still on Phoenix’s roster.
So, will this be a chance for him to show the Rockets what they are missing out on?
Fans are still hopeful that Green can be an All-Star and look like one of the best young players in the league.
Can he do that with his new team in Phoenix?
Green is grateful he still gets to play professional basketball and will attempt to make the most of it.
What will he do with the Suns?
