MANILA, Philippines — The campaign for the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship continued Tuesday with the launch of a partnership with the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA).
A train on LRT-2 was wrapped with promotional materials for the tournament, which will run from September 12 to 28 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum and SM Mall of Asia Arena. Ads will also appear inside other trains along the line.

“Starting today, people using Line 2 will see promotional materials for the FIVB MWCH inside and outside of the trains,” said LRTA Administrator Atty. Hernando Cabrera. “We did a train wrap, and when you go inside the train, you’ll see materials.”
The launch included a train ride from Recto Station to the depot in Santolan, Pasig City. Present at the event were Philippine Sports Commission chairman Patrick Gregorio, Philippine National Volleyball Federation president Ramon “Tats” Suzara, and players from the national men’s and beach volleyball teams.

Among those who joined were Bryan Bagunas, Marck Espejo, and Sisi Rondina.
Tickets to the tournament, which will feature 32 nations, are already on sale.
Suzara acknowledged the presence of the local fan club of K-pop group BOYNEXTDOOR, which will perform during the opening ceremony following the Philippines’ first match against Tunisia on September 12 at MOA Arena.
Gregorio, who also leads the government task force for the event, said sports events are key drivers for tourism. “This is a prime example,” he said.
The next promotional activity is scheduled for Friday, July 18, at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall. The program will run from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., with the main program at 6 p.m.
