The Coquitlam, B.C., native was one of two Canadians selected at the 2025 MLB Draft by the Blue Jays, with Toronto also drafting Micah Bucknam in the fourth round.
Piasentin was ranked 160th by MLB Pipeline, playing out of Foothills Composite High School in Okotoks, Alta.
The Blue Jays signed their eighth-overall pick JoJo Parker to an under-slot, $6.2 million deal on Friday, allowing the team to spread their bonus pool to other draft picks.
They’ve additionally signed Bucknam, eighth-rounder Danny Thompson Jr. and 10th-rounder Austin Smith.
