‘Several Teams’ Interested In 1 49ers Wide Receiver

The San Francisco 49ers find themselves in a familiar position this offseason, dealing with another contract standoff that could reshape their receiving corps.

Wide receiver Jauan Jennings has emerged as the latest player seeking a new deal, leveraging a breakout season into what amounts to an ultimatum for the organization.

He is entering the final year of his contract and is scheduled to earn $7.5 million this season.

However, after his career-best showing, Jennings believes he has outperformed that deal and deserves a raise.

After reportedly threatening a trade request, his stance has attracted attention from teams around the NFL.

“Several teams reportedly have reached out to the 49ers about wide receiver Jauan Jennings’ availability,” NBC Sports Bay Area shared on X.

Last season, Jennings stepped up significantly after Brandon Aiyuk’s ACL injury.

He posted career highs across the board with 77 receptions, 975 yards and six touchdowns, becoming Brock Purdy’s primary target at wide receiver.

Head coach Kyle Shanahan has praised Jennings as one of the best blocking receivers in football, making him invaluable in the 49ers’ offensive scheme.

Despite growing interest, San Francisco appears determined to keep Jennings.

That decision carries added weight with Aiyuk and Ricky Pearsall on the PUP list and Demarcus Robinson potentially facing suspension.

Jennings is projected as the team’s WR1 heading into training camp, and his leverage continues to grow.

If a contract extension doesn’t materialize by the time veterans report, he’s expected to formally request a trade.

Several teams, including the Pittsburgh Steelers, New York Jets, Las Vegas Raiders and Miami Dolphins, have been linked to him as they search for a physical, dependable playmaker with postseason experience.
