D’Angelo Russell Shows Off Handles In Workout Video

D’Angelo Russell is looking to start a new chapter with the Dallas Mavericks.

The last several years have been tricky for Russell, but he is hoping to create great success and impact during his time with Dallas.

A new video shared by MFFL NATION on X featured Russell racing around a practice court, showcasing great control, speed, and start-and-stop energy.

This could be exactly what the Mavericks need in 2025-26.

Russell has spent the last few seasons playing for the Los Angeles Lakers and Brooklyn Nets.

His return to the Nets was brief, however, and now he will make his home in Dallas.

The Mavericks are in need of a point guard with handles like this because they are going to be without one of the best of all time next season.

Kyrie Irving will sit out, likely for the whole season, and Russell will try to fill the void left by him.

When Irving does return, Russell will probably be moved to the bench, but playing for the Mavericks will still be exciting for him.

That’s because the team is undergoing a lot of changes right now.

They just acquired No. 1 draft pick Cooper Flagg and are about to enjoy their first complete season with a fully healthy Anthony Davis.

A few months ago, no one would have figured the Mavericks would be so promising, but the future looks brighter and brighter in Dallas.

There have been complaints about Russell’s game recently, with some claiming he is inconsistent and can’t produce good performances in clutch moments.

Coming to the Mavericks will give him a chance to silence all the critics.
