The Baltimore Ravens brought in another reliable pass catcher this offseason.
They’ve been in the mix for veteran wide receivers for years now, and DeAndre Hopkins is another name on that long list.
However, it seems like Bleacher Report isn’t impressed by the signing.
“He may make the occasional splash play as Lamar Jackson’s fourth or fifth target, but it feels like the five-time Pro Bowler is simply along for the ride,” it wrote, via Dov Kleiman.
Yikes: Bleacher Report predicts veteran WR DeAndre Hopkins to be the Ravens’ biggest BUST this upcoming season:

That might be the case, but the Ravens will have an explosive offense, so it’s not like they need Hopkins to be the superstar he once was.
They have Zay Flowers as their top wide receiver, and tight end Mark Andrews will most likely retain his role as their next-best option.
Hopkins is coming off a modest season with the Kansas City Chiefs.
The three-time All-Pro finished had 56 receptions for 610 yards and five touchdowns.
Of course, those numbers are far from what fans have come to expect from him, but they fit the role he had.
He wasn’t the WR1, and he’s not going to return to that status again.
But if he can give the Ravens some big plays, he will be more than worth the low-money investment.
There was little risk involved in this move, and that kind of pickup can end up being huge for any team.
Hopkins has never been a burner, and he’s lost a step over time, but he still has some of the most secure hands in NFL history, and that could’ve come in handy for Baltimore in its playoff loss last season.
