The Tennessee Titans took Cam Ward with the No. 1 pick, and he’s not there to mess around.
He’s only there to get some work done and be the best player he can be.
That’s why he doesn’t have time to worry about anything else but what he can control.
When asked his thoughts on Will Levis‘ injury, he turned plenty of heads with his rather candid response (via Dov Kleiman):
“I really didn’t have a reaction. I focus on Cam Ward,” Ward said.
Ruthless: Titans rookie QB Cam Ward was asked how he reacted to the news that Will Levis was being ruled out for the 2025 season.
“I really didn’t have a reaction. I focus on Cam Ward.”

That might sound a little ruthless, and perhaps people expected a little more solidarity towards his teammate, but that doesn’t mean that was a bad answer.
Levis will no longer be in his way because of a season-ending procedure on his shoulder.
Although all things considered, it seems that it would take a whole lot, or perhaps even a major injury, for head coach Brian Callahan to roll with Levis over Ward this season.
Ward has had to earn everything he’s gotten as a football player.
He’s had to work his way up the ladder, and that relentless work ethic and determination have him laser-focused on being the best player he can possibly be.
That doesn’t mean he doesn’t feel sorry for Levis or that he doesn’t care about any of his teammates or anything else, but it speaks volumes about his killer mindset ahead of his rookie season.
