Is Ravens’ Lamar Jackson already thinking about the Super Bowl?

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson’s impressive résumé is missing one thing: a Super Bowl ring.

Jackson may have his best chance to win his first championship this season. As of Wednesday night, FanDuel Sportsbook lists the Ravens as the Super Bowl favorite (+650).

Despite that, the two-time MVP doesn’t want to look too far ahead.

“To be honest, I’m really not trying to think far,” Jackson said at training camp Wednesday. “Because every time we have those discussions, man, we get to the playoffs, but we don’t punch in. We don’t finish. So I’m pretty much just trying to finish camp the correct way and then get ready for the Bills. I’m not really trying to think about the Super Bowl yet.”

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh, however, made it clear the Lombardi Trophy is weighing on the QB’s mind.

“It’s on his heart. It’s on his mind,” the coach said before training camp, per USA Today’s Chris Bumbaca. “We’ve just gotta find a way to finish.”

Since the Ravens took Jackson with pick No. 32 in the 2018 NFL Draft, he has a 70-24 starting record in the regular season and has earned three first-team All-Pro nods. But playoff success has eluded him.

Jackson is 3-5 in the playoffs. His passer rating also dips from a stellar 102 in the regular season to a subpar 84.6 in the playoffs.

Not all blame falls on Jackson. In last season’s 27-25 AFC divisional-round loss to the Buffalo Bills, tight end Mark Andrews dropped a two-point conversion attempt that would’ve tied the game late in the fourth quarter.
