What Could Happen in Delirium Season 2?
Set in the ’80s, Delirium is an adaptation of Laura Restrepo’s novel of the same name. The story follows university professor Fernando Aguilar, who returns home from a trip to find his wife, Agustina, in a terrifying mental state. She’s disoriented and teetering on the edge of psychosis.
As he searches for answers, Aguilar is drawn into Agustina’s family and discovers a world ruled by carefully buried secrets. Repression and control are recurring themes, too. Turns out, there’s a larger mystery at play. One that involves generational trauma and forbidden love. When the past is murky, there’s a good chance it will come back to haunt you.
The series can be confusing at times, but the story is intriguing enough to keep you coming back for more. Additionally, Estefania Piñeres is mesmerising as Agustina. If you’re looking for a steamy and dark binge, this twisty series scratches the itch.
The final episode offers a tentative resolution, but there’s still room for the characters to develop in the future. While Delirium season 2 isn’t likely, it could follow Agustina on a healing journey. We wouldn’t mind tuning in for that.
