MANILA, Philippines—After six games in the PBA Philippine Cup Finals, Jericho Cruz emerged as San Miguel Beer’s brightest star.
Following the Beermen’s title-clinching win in Game 6 at Philsports Arena on Friday night, Cruz was named the PBA Press Corps Finals MVP.

Before San Miguel’s 107-96 victory to secure the crown, the Adamson product averaged 14 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.8 assists through the first five games of the series.

In the championship-clinching game, Cruz tallied 13 points, six assists, and four rebounds.
This marks Cruz’s first Finals MVP award and his fourth PBA title overall. It’s also his third championship as a member of the San Miguel franchise.
