Stat Reveals How Impressive Jalen Hurts Has Been Since 2022

Jalen Hurts has overachieved all expectations since the Philadelphia Eagles drafted him in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft, as he has now reached two Super Bowls and won one, most recently leading his squad to a dominant victory over the Kansas City Chiefs to culminate the 2024 season.

Some fans still discredit Hurts for all the success, pointing to the fact that he has a loaded roster around him and plays in a run-first scheme, but one impressive stat adds some insight into just how great he has been over the past three years.

Pro Football Focus shared on X that, including the postseason, Hurts has 30 touchdowns on 20+ yard throws since 2022, which is the most in the NFL.

While he is most known for his patented Tush Push, Hurts has shown off an impressive deep ball and has displayed incredible chemistry with his pair of star receivers in A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith over the past few years.

With Hurts’ five-year, $255 million starting to kick in, it will be interesting to see if he can maintain his current production or take another step forward to be more of a centerpiece within this offense as the talent around him inevitably gets priced out.

Hurts regressed in 2023 and threw 15 interceptions, but he bounced back in 2024 en route to leading the team to a championship while throwing 18 touchdowns to just five interceptions, while rushing for another 14 touchdowns.

Don’t ever be mistaken that Hurts is just a Tush Push merchant.

He is a deep ball savant, and we’ll see if the Eagles dial up a few more deep balls in 2025 to keep defenses honest.
