Cam Thomas may not be with the Brooklyn Nets much longer, but which team will take him?
There is no doubt that Thomas is talented, but is he worthy of the contract he thinks he deserves?
There is a lot of speculation about Thomas, his future with Brooklyn, and what his next contract will look like.
Reporting on that situation, Jake Fischer gave great insight into Thomas’ mindset.
“Cam Thomas thinks of himself as one of the most elite playmaker scorers in the NBA, and he wants to be compensated as such,” Fischer said, per Legion Hoops.

Last season, Thomas posted 24.0 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 3.8 assists on 43.8 percent from the field.
He was a pivotal part of the Nets, and they really valued him, even though they didn’t find great success in 2024-25.
The team is going through a lot of changes right now, and plenty of people assumed that Thomas would be a part of their future.
But perhaps it is time for him to cut ties with the team and move on to another franchise.
However, this reporting shows that he only wants to go to a team that will offer him a hefty contract.
Which team would that be?
No matter what he thinks of himself, there is a chance that perhaps Thomas is overestimating how much he can get on the market.
If he is holding out for the perfect contract, he might be waiting for a long time.
People will be paying close attention to Thomas and the Nets to see what happens next.
Will he stay or will he leave, and where will he go if he packs his bags?
