Bubba Wallace holds off Kyle Larson to win wild Brickyard 400

With his fuel running low and one of the best race drivers in the world battling him for a victory in one of NASCAR’s crown jewel races, Bubba Wallace stood tall.

Wallace appeared to have Sunday’s Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway won with six laps to go, but a caution for rain bunched the field up and made Wallace’s fuel situation sketchy.

But on not one, but two restarts, Wallace cleared Larson and saved enough gas to earn the biggest win of his racing career.

The win is the third of Wallace’s Cup Series career, his first in a crown jewel race and his first since Kansas in September 2022.
