Russell Wilson Made Notable Physique Change

The New York Giants are rolling the dice on Russell Wilson.

This might be his final opportunity to be a starter in this league.

That’s why he’s not leaving anything to chance.

As reported by Kay Adams on X, he’s gotten quite leaner ahead of this season, and he’s now listed at a slightly under 215 pounds.

Wilson drew some criticism for carrying a little extra weight over the past couple of years, and that may have limited his mobility to a degree.

Of course, he’s not getting any younger, so that may have also taken a toll on his explosiveness and scrambling ability.

But if this new slimmer shape is a sign of what’s to come, perhaps Brian Daboll will unleash his old version again.

Not so long ago, Wilson was one of the most dangerous quarterbacks in the game on broken plays.

He had an unmatched ability to make something out of nothing, finding gaps and gliding through the defense for big gains with his legs.

That, plus his strong arm and his willingness to sling the football down the field, made him such a major dual-threat, and that’s something we haven’t seen from him since his final year with the Seattle Seahawks.

The bar isn’t particularly high in the Big Apple, but they still need to at least be in the mix for a playoff spot for the current brass to keep their jobs.

And with this also potentially being the end of the line for him, the former Super Bowl champion is looking to turn back the clock.
