The San Francisco 49ers keep adding firepower to their offense.
This time, they did so with a veteran running back.
According to a report by Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports (via Our SF 49ers), they just signed former Las Vegas Raiders Ameer Abdullah to their 90-man roster.

The 5-foot-9, 203-pound veteran has made a name for himself because of his versatility and contributions to special teams, as he can be a factor in the passing game and as a kick returner.
The Detroit Lions took him out of Nebraska in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft.
He sustained a season-ending foot injury in his second season in the league, thus stunting his development, but he’s still had a decent career ever since.
Throughout the course of his career, the 32-year-old has amassed almost 2,000 rushing yards and 1,500 receiving yards to go along with more than 3,800 return yards (punt and kick return combined).
He led the league in kick return yards in his first year in the league.
With stints with the Lions, Minnesota Vikings, and Carolina Panthers, he spent the past three seasons with the Raiders.
He’s made 141 career appearances, and he’s coming off rushing for 311 yards with two scores and hauling in 40 receptions for 261 yards with three receiving touchdowns in 16 games.
Abdullah will be in the mix for touches on special teams, but he will face plenty of competition, as he will join a RB room that also features the likes of Christian McCaffrey, Isaac Guerendo, Patrick Taylor, and fifth-round rookie Jordan James.
