The 2025 NFL Draft featured a lot of intriguing talent through all seven rounds, and though it didn’t have a ton of huge names at the glamour positions of quarterback and running back, there were some prospects who bring extraordinary levels of hype and expectations with them.
One analyst is a big fan of one player and believes this particular rookie will set records right out of the gate.
“As much hype as Travis Hunter is getting, I actually do not think it is nearly enough,” Danny Harkins said on “The Herd.”

The Jacksonville Jaguars made an aggressive trade up from No. 5 to No. 2 overall to draft Hunter, and it’s become clear that the wide receiver/cornerback is going to play both sides of the ball in the NFL.
The coaching staff has been creative managing his workload in training camp, so it’s unclear how many snaps on offense or defense he’ll see when the season starts.
In college, he was on the field for almost every play every week, which is likely unsustainable at this level.
Yet, if Hunter is able to do anything close to that in the NFL, he will set records and become the kind of dual threat that the league has never seen.
Fans are rooting for Hunter to buck the odds and find success as both a receiver and a cornerback, because if he does, he will change the sport forever.
