Robbie Chosen Has 7-Word Message After 49ers Workout

The San Francisco 49ers are keeping their options open at wide receiver.

There’s plenty of uncertainty around that position, so they’re leaving no stone unturned to try to add more juice to that room.

That’s why they worked out Robbie Chosen on Saturday.

According to the former Miami Dolphins pass-catcher, the feedback was positive:

“Thankful for the opportunity it went great,” Chosen posted on X.

Chosen is already familiar with the organization, as he spent some time in the Bay Area last season before failing to make the 53-player roster.

He joined the Miami Dolphins’ practice squad shortly after, making two appearances for Mike McDaniel’s team before being released midway through the season.

He finished last year with one reception on four targets for five yards.

Chosen entered the league in 2016, and he’s seemingly had more name changes than good seasons.

His best year came in 2020 when he played for the Carolina Panthers and hauled in 95 passes for 1,096 receiving yards.

He’s failed to log at least 600 receiving yards in any season ever since.

Even so, the Niners are quite shorthanded in that department.

Brandon Aiyuk will most likely miss some time as he continues to work his way back from a season-ending ACL injury, and Demarcus Robinson is rumored to face a DUI-related suspension.

Chosen is a long shot to get another opportunity to join the team for training camp, and even less likely to be a candidate to make the 53-man roster.

Still, the team clearly liked him enough to give him another shot after already having him around last offseason.
