The veteran opposite spiker gave the Thunderbelles an 11-6 start in the fifth before back-to-back blocks from Fiola Ceballos and AC Miner sent them to the match point, 14-7. The Flying Titans scored three straight points, but Gonzaga drilled the game-winning hit to prevail in the two-hour game.

”Huge credit to the coaching staff for how they managed us on the court. I’m really thankful because this is already my second conference here and we’ve already made two quarterfinal appearances, so it shows that all our hard work in training is paying off. I’m also very grateful for the relationship we have as a team. I think our performance reflects how solid we are. Both on and off the court.”

Clo Mondoñedo tossed 22 excellent sets. AC Miner had 14 points including four blocks, while Kate Santiago and Fiola Ceballos added 10 points each with the latter nailing four blocks.
