Ed Poston Joins Symphonic Distribution as Head of A&R, bringing over 15 Years of industry experience

Symphonic Distribution has appointed Ed Poston as its new Head of A&R.

Based in New York City, Poston will report to the company’s Chief Creative Officer, Randall Foster, and collaborate closely with SVP of Sales Operations, Tim Bruno.

Poston’s role will focus on expanding Symphonic’s artist relationships and supporting the company’s global growth. He brings more than 15 years of experience in artist development and A&R leadership, having held key positions at Concord Music Publishing, Glassnote Records, BMI, and most recently, Grammy-winning music company Creative Titans.

Poston is credited with early support and signings of high-profile artists such as Ed Sheeran, Avicii, and Cashmere Cat, and has worked with acclaimed songwriters including Caroline Ailin, known for hits with Dua Lipa and Selena Gomez.

During his time at Glassnote Records, Poston led A&R for Aurora’s album All My Demons Greeting Me as a Friend, featuring the single Runaway, which has been streamed over 1 billion times to date. He also co-signed Grammy and Ivor Novello-winning writers Alex Metric and Justin Parker.

Poston’s appointment comes as Symphonic continues to invest in its global A&R strategy. Earlier this year, the company expanded its European A&R Client development team with five new hires, further strengthening its international presence and artist services.

“I know that Ed will be a valuable contributor to our mission as we expand into new global markets and double down on the ones where we already have presence.”

Poston added: “Joining Symphonic was an immediate yes. I’ve long admired the team and their commitment to artist empowerment, and it is clear that we have unlimited growth potential together. I am looking forward to the journey ahead.”
