The Denver Broncos are coming off a strong season.
They finished the year with a 10-7 record and, more importantly, looked like the type of team that could make some noise in the near future.
In fact, head coach Sean Payton believes they’re set up for very big things.
“I’ve coached six teams that I thought could win the Super Bowl. Some went to championship games, some to the playoffs. This is my seventh team that I think has that,” Payton said, via Zack Kelberman.

That could be a stretch, but that doesn’t mean they’re not heading in the right direction.
The Broncos revamped their running game in the offseason, and quarterback Bo Nix should only be better with one year of NFL experience under his belt.
They also happen to have the reigning Defensive Player of the Year in cornerback Patrick Surtain II.
Sometimes, it’s just about finding the right person to lead a project.
The Broncos convinced a Super Bowl winner and proven culture builder like Payton to come out of retirement, and it didn’t take long before everybody could see his impact on the organization.
The team plays in arguably the toughest division in football, and it won’t be easy to put an end to the Kansas City Chiefs’ supremacy atop the AFC West.
The Las Vegas Raiders and Los Angeles Chargers should both be better this season as well.
Even though it might sound far-fetched, Payton has some valid reasons to think his team could go the distance.
