Tim Tszyu is set to fight for his career when he takes on American Joey Spencer at the Newcastle Entertainment Centre on Sunday, April 6th.
The Aussie star (24-2, 17 KOs) has been reeling from two consecutive losses, including one brutal knockout defeat. As a result, his career as an elite-level boxer is under threat, and he’ll need to put on a strong performance against the 25-year-old from Michigan, with Spencer (19-1, 11 KOs) himself looking to also rise up the ranks towards more international titles.
However, Spencer is going to have to make history to defeat Tszyu, with the Tszyu family still to face a loss on Australian soil. Even more so, Tszyu is known for his ferocious record in Newcastle.
Included on the undercard are Koen Mazoudier and Dan Hill, who will square off for the Australian Super Welterweight title, while Endry Saavedra and Mikkel Nielsen will square off the international middleweight title before the main event.

After 11am AEST, the broadcast will switch to pay-per-view and will be available to watch via Main Event.
